"Sweding a Scene" is a filmmaking exercise that involves recreating a well-known movie scene or series of scenes using homemade props, limited resources, and sometimes a touch of parody or humor. For this project, our team chose to recreate a scene from Squid Game 2, adding an extra layer of challenge by filming entirely in a different language.
This is the first project I ever directed. Interestingly, when I began film school, directing was one of the roles I found least appealing. However, this experience completely changed my perspective. I discovered how creatively fulfilling it can be to guide the overall vision of a project, from shaping performances to crafting the visual style. Being able to influence every shot and line delivery gave me a new appreciation for the director's role and allowed me to ensure that the final product matched my creative standards.
I was fortunate to work with a dedicated and talented team who brought their best to the table. Despite a long and demanding shoot, the end result was well worth the effort. The final cut looks incredible, and I’m proud of what we accomplished together.
